Noises Off

Called the funniest farce ever written, Noises Off takes a fond look at the follies of theatre folk, whose susceptibility to out-of-control egos, memory loss and passionate affairs turns every performance into a high-risk adventure. This farce-within-a-farce captures a touring theatre troupe’s production of a flop called Nothing On in three stages: dress rehearsal, the opening performance, and a performance toward the end of the run. Each performance is portrayed from behind the scenes, progressing from flubbed lines and missed cues in the dress rehearsal to mounting friction between cast members in the final performance. Brimming with comedy, Noises Off is a backstage farce of slamming doors, falling trousers and flying sardines!
Contains mature language. Recommended for mature audiences.
Presented by special arrangement with SAMUEL FRENCH, INC.

PRESS RELEASE |
"A spectacularly funny, peerless backstage farce. This dizzy, well-known romp is a festival of delirium."
New York Times
"
Frayn’s wryly reductive classic gives us a behind-the-scenes glimpse of a theatrical hothouse, where titanic egos and meager talents clash, hilariously."
Los Angeles Times
